Meet Somasundaram Seveganchetty (Soma)

Welcome back for September’s Employee Spotlight. For those of you new to this, we choose a EveryIT employee and ask them questions about their role in the company, as well as a few “just for fun” questions, so our readers get the chance to learn more about the incredible people who make up our team. This month, we are featuring another member from our Southeast Asia subsidiary. Meet Soma

 

Marketing: Hi, thanks for agreeing to be this month’s spotlight ! How long have you been with EveryIT ? What does your role entail ?

Answer: I have been with EveryIT since Sep 2021 and my role entails Program Management and Cloud Architecture.

Marketing: What do you like most about your job? Is there a unique (or fun) project you’ve been working on that you can talk about? 

Answer:  One of the key avenues is the liberty to embark on unique aspects/paths and this gives the opportunity to move on “unchartered path” and/or ” unchartered industry”. At the same juncture, opportunities are provided to keep employees updated in the form of Trainings that the employees can embark on.

Marketing: We can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeves! What advice would you give to recent new hires? 

Answer: Exciting opportunities are awaiting.

Marketing: We can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeves! What advice would you give to recent new hires? 

Answer: Given the current situation, it is a mixed concept of working from office and a times, working from home. Either way, focused aim to get the tasks accomplished shall provide the required framework avenues.

Marketing: What is your philosophy? 

Answer: Perform tasks to the best of ability ; avoid assumptions where feasible and do not be averse in taking calculated risks. 

Marketing: What’s your MBTI? 

Answer:  ISFJ – (Note : this is just my own analysis ; not validated with an scientific or practical test)

Marketing: Recommendation time: Is there anything you currently love and want to share? This can be a podcast, book, tv show, music, activity – you name it! 

Answer:  Personally I like reading books and about current affairs. A few books that I really loved:

“One Man’s View of the World” – by Mr Lee Kuan Yew

  • “Wings of Fire”by MR APJ Abdul Kalam
  • ” An Unexpected Journey” by MR SR Nathan
  • ” An Experiment with Truth” Mahatma Gandhi
